So. It was my pleasure to do cover art for [info]sweetestdrain's deeply awesometastic Swear By All Flowers which everyone should go read immediately. Wincest and Russian folk tales, how cool is that?

Hmm, I'm at a loss as to why there aren't a hundred little comments down here yet, because this is a great workup. I love Dean's discoloration and the blue rose. I suppose that's a baddie of some sort at the bottom - I like the whole mixture. Congratulations on an awesome job!

Thanks very much! Yeah, that's Baba Yaga down on the bottom there, though whether she's a baddie or not is up to interpretation, heh.

This captures the atmosphere of the story very nicely - Baba Yaga and the blue flowers, and Sam's mule-ish determination, and poor sick Dean.... Very nice work - thanks for sharing!

Okay, what people are saying in the previous comments? I agree completely: why the HECK isn't everyone over here talking about how awesome this is?? Sickly!Dean is awesome (and oddly enough, making me kind of want Consumptive!Dean a la Doc Holiday in Tombstone . . . I don't know, either.), the starkness of the coloring in his face and the way he stands out so much against the rest of the picture, and I love the blurring of Sam's face (and the determined lines of his mouth, omg) and the way Baba Yaga doesn't really resolve into a figure until you've looked at it a few times. Basically, fantastic stuff. ♥

Many, many thanks! I'm not sure about Consumptive!Dean, but he is disturbingly pretty for being sickly, isn't he?

This is gorgeous, and the coloring fits the mood of the fic EXACTLY! Very lovely work.

I love that little drawing in the corner of the picture-- is that Russian folk art?

Read the amazing story and came back to tell you I love your art work. Perfect Dean! So weary, so pale and frail. Beautiful.
